Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ismael Sengrat took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Banfield booed when Toledo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Richie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Banfield's Raul Itzaina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guaberto Iaki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Virgilio Pero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Guaberto Iaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Toledo's Guaberto Iaki got control of the ball when Virgilio Pero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ismael Sengrat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Toledo's Siro Lizer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Elodio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute Cipriano Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Elodio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Sengrat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Elodio having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Elodio was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 47 played minutes Toledo got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Valiente.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raul Itzaina to make the kick off. If Raul Itzaina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Valiente during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Itzaina in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Iaki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Banfield's Virgilio Pero got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Raul Itzaina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Iaki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Raul Itzaina came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Banfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Itzaina couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Elodio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Sengrat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Itzaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Guaberto Iaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Pero in the 92nd minute of play forced Toledo's goalkeeper Guaberto Iaki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cipriano Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Toledo's zone, Virgilio Pero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Iaki came out of the goal and Virgilio Pero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Pero in the 97th minute of play forced Toledo's goalkeeper Guaberto Iaki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
