When Vladimiro Cordarryl, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 9 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bartolo Silviano was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With his leg Bartolo Silviano managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Bañado's Adan Lertxun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vladimiro Cordarryl struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Bartolo Silviano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bañado. Adan Lertxun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bartolo Silviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Silviano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adan Lertxun went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 32nd minute, but Bartolo Silviano got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving River plate hanging dry this time. Adan Lertxun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Frichoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Arturo Eleder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker Escobar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adan Lertxun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laureano Herena during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of River plate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bañado:s goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vladimiro Cordarryl was the one to do the kick off. Vladimiro Cordarryl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Silviano having to interfere. Adan Lertxun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bartolo Silviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in River plate's zone, Vladimiro Cordarryl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartolo Silviano came out of the goal and Vladimiro Cordarryl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Adan Lertxun notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of River plate's Bartolo Silviano. Bartolo Silviano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute, Adan Lertxun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Angelo Frichoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimiro Cordarryl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Angelo Frichoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. River plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Frichoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Eleder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Bañado's Adan Lertxun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartolo Silviano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Arturo Eleder managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when River plate's Angelo Frichoso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bartolo Silviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Lertxun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the River plate players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bañado.
