After 32 played minutes Tartagal got a freekick which was hit by Albano Rubio. When Santiago Clementi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Tartagal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Clementi couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Tartagal's Leopoldo Argider got control of the ball when Fabio Baraquiel tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blas Caitano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiburcio Estefan's late challenge caught a Tartagal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiburcio Estefan helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wolfburg FC! In the 63rd match minute, Wolfburg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Noe to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Caitano in the 68th minute of play forced Tartagal's goalkeeper Leopoldo Argider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Amancio Amato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tartagal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Amato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Clementi struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Conrado Blanco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tartagal. In the 80thth minute of the game Amancio Amato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wolfburg FC's Conrado Blanco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Clementi got free with Conrado Blanco in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amancio Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Blanco having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Wolfburg FC's goalkeeper Conrado Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Clementi. If Santiago Clementi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Clementi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Conrado Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tartagal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
