If Rogelio Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ceferino Emesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceferino Emesto struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ovidio Gilen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florencia. If Severino Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogelio Marin to make the kick off. Ovidio Gilen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Florian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68thth minute of the game Ceferino Emesto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amberes's Ovidio Gilen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabio Quinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Osoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ovidio Gilen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee ignored Amberes's protests and gave Hugo Gilabert a yellow card for diving instead. 96 minutes into the game, one of Amberes:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Valentin Ilixo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Florencia had played much better football throughout.
