But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaudencio Iraunkor couldn't finish the play. ChiiiChoo's Feliciano Frichoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Bernad in the 11th minute of play. Godofredo Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Feliciano Frichoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Aimar in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Eriberto Salvidor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliciano Frichoso. ChiiiChoo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto Salvidor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Guaberto Bernad might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Feliciano Frichoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guaberto Bernad ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th minute of the match Jeronimo Urki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliciano Frichoso skillfully saved the ball. Godofredo Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustacio Soin kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 0-2 became the score in the 30th minute when Godofredo Aimar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to ChiiiChoo getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Aquilino Azubeli hit a great ball. Itacaruaré's Godofredo Aimar got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ChiiiChoo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itacaruaré were winning 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaudencio Iraunkor to make the kick off. Gaudencio Iraunkor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Eduardo Sedeni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Guaberto Bernad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itacaruaré's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Bernad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliciano Frichoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sergio Alfonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Itacaruaré's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Aimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aquilino Azubeli hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Gaudencio Iraunkor struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Eduardo Sedeni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ChiiiChoo. Guaberto Bernad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Feliciano Frichoso made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Itacaruaré's Eriberto Salvidor got a free kick in the 85th minute. When ChiiiChoo's Sergio Alfonso, in the 87th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for ChiiiChoo. In the 88th match minute, Itacaruaré was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Virila to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Gaudencio Iraunkor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ChiiiChoo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Iraunkor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Sergio Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Sedeni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Feliciano Frichoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Aimar in the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Itacaruaré walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
