Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pablo Selatse got the match started through his kick off. When Anastasio Virila fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itacaruaré's protests and gave Anastasio Virila a yellow card for diving instead. Anastasio Virila hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Itacaruaré's Eduardo Sedeni got control of the ball when Rodrigo Fagildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Itacaruaré's Eduardo Sedeni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Itacaruaré from getting a goal against them. When Leonides Kelemen fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botija's protests and gave Leonides Kelemen a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Botija got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Kelemen. When Itacaruaré's Guaberto Bernad in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Botija's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Godofredo Aimar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atilano Abeita was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Honorato Maule kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Saturnino Frans, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rodrigo Fagildo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Atilano Abeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Aimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Selatse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Godofredo Aimar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Guaberto Bernad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itacaruaré's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Bernad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Godofredo Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Abeita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaberto Bernad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Abeita having to interfere. Atilano Abeita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Bernad in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Godofredo Aimar made the kick off in the second half. When Florentino Esdras fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botija's protests and gave Florentino Esdras a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Itacaruaré booed when Botija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Esdras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atilano Abeita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godofredo Aimar's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Botija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Maule to maneuver through the defense. Atilano Abeita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guaberto Bernad in the 76th minute. Itacaruaré's Guaberto Bernad got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Godofredo Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilano Abeita made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Guaberto Bernad sent off a good shot on target. Godofredo Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Abeita having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match, Guaberto Bernad got a very nice opportunity to score, but Atilano Abeita was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Atilano Abeita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guaberto Bernad showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 93 minute of play. The Botija fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itacaruaré were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
