After a defensive mix-up in Rocha FC's zone, Mateo Ubarna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Toribio came out of the goal and Mateo Ubarna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, one of Rocha FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rocha FC. 11 minutes into the match, Matansilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Hermelando came free, but Jesus Taurino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Taurino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Hermelando went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Benedicto Cordaryal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jesus Taurino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Hermelando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benedicto Cordaryal struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Jesus Taurino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rocha FC. Segundo Florin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Toribio having to interfere. Segundo Florin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dionisio Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateo Ubarna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Dionisio Toribio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Roberto Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Cordaryal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesus Taurino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, Matansilla AFC's Jesus Taurino got control of the ball when Benedicto Cordaryal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Segundo Kelemen kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Jesus Taurino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Hermelando, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Segundo Florin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Toribio having to interfere. In the 74th minute Segundo Florin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roberto Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Gervaso hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Rocha FC's Roberto Hermelando ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jesus Taurino. Jesus Taurino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Dionisio Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Ubarna in the 89th minute of play. Segundo Florin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dionisio Toribio having to make a save. Mateo Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Toribio having to interfere. The Matansilla AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rocha FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rocha FC.
