Alejo Chesus kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes, Nueva Chicago's Jonathan Oinaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucio Romelio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nueva Chicago reached it. Angelino Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Obano having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Lorenz. 27 minutes into the match, Orlando Gutierrez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teo Obano. Nueva Chicago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Gutierrez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 34 minutes into the match, Natalio Urbez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Romelio. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eulalio Gartzen during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nueva Chicago's Eulalio Gartzen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Orlando Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eulalio Gartzen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelino Goyo might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teo Obano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelino Goyo ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Gutierrez in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teo Obano saved Nueva Chicago from getting behind. Angelino Goyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Teo Obano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Gutierrez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teo Obano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Eulalio Gartzen struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Lucio Romelio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Chicago. In the 69th minute, Orlando Gutierrez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelino Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Obano having to interfere. Teo Obano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Gutierrez in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Higuerita getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Angelino Goyo hit a great ball. Alejo Chesus kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Natalio Urbez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Gutierrez in the 88th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Teo Obano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Goyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Teo Obano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Goren kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Teo Obano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Goyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
