An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Policarpio in the 12th minute of play forced Cabituyo AFC's goalkeeper Roberto Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Policarpio struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Roberto Luke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defesores FC. 19 minutes into the match, Defesores FC's goalkeeper Julian Sugoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvio Abaunza. In the 20th match minute, Defesores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Rioja to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes, Hipolito Damario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cabituyo AFC and the Defesores FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Defesores FC booed when Cabituyo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Damario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venancio Laurgain was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaias Maule made a kick off. Julian Sugoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elvio Abaunza's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Hipolito Damario hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cabituyo AFC's Filomeno Porfiro tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Angel Rioja kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Isaias Maule recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ernesto Millano came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Defesores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Millano couldn't finish the play. In the 89th match minute, Cabituyo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, one of Defesores FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Cabituyo AFC a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filomeno Porfiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Defesores FC's Julian Sugoi. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cabituyo AFC had won after a very even match.
