Asturias FC's Eriberto Beltxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Piearres in the 5th minute of play. Maximo Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Buinton having to interfere. A collision led to Anjullón getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Carolo Elodio hit a great ball. Ivan Ongile struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Bonifacio Buinton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Ongile, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Anjullón's goalkeeper Bonifacio Buinton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximo Huly. A hard shot 26 in the game by Maximo Huly from a close distance when the talented Bonifacio Buinton managed to make a qualified save. Anjullón's players were relieved. In the 26th match minute, Anjullón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Abastas to maneuver through the defense. Desiderio Menendo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 37 minutes Anjullón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guillermo Erramu who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Asturias FC's Guillermo Erramu to fire away a dangerous shot which Bonifacio Buinton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Maximo Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Buinton having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Ongile in the 40th minute of play forced Anjullón's goalkeeper Bonifacio Buinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asturias FC's Maximo Huly got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximo Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Buinton having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Ongile in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bonifacio Buinton saved Anjullón from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Ongile stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Saul Bernabel hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ivan Ongile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Huly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bonifacio Buinton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Basilio Feliu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 minutes, Ruperto Abastas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anjullón and the Asturias FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Anjullón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Abastas to maneuver through the defense. Ruperto Abastas kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Maximo Huly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asturias FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Huly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anjullón were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Asturias FC's much stronger midfield.
