Bonifacio Rivas's late challenge caught a Luftwaffe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Rivas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, Bonifacio Rivas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Rivas in the 13th minute of play forced Luftwaffe FC's goalkeeper Emilio Remicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bonifacio Rivas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Encrucijadas AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cirilo Ospetsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Eriberto Iaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Luftwaffe FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alfredo Soter hit a great ball. When Alfredo Soter fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luftwaffe FC's protests and gave Alfredo Soter a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Luftwaffe FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alfredo Soter hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Luftwaffe FC's goalkeeper Emilio Remicio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Laurin. Bonifacio Rivas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Emilio Remicio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bonifacio Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emilio Remicio made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jeronimo Laurin sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Luftwaffe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Rivas came free, but Emilio Remicio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bonifacio Rivas was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Luftwaffe FC defense, Jeronimo Laurin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilio Remicio. The Luftwaffe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilio Remicio should have stopped the shot. If Cirilo Ospetsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute.
