Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Javier Mon kicked off to start the match. Anacleto Laurentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Marino in the 5th minute of play. Fausto Hug could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Anacleto Laurentzi made a huge save. In the 15th minute Javier Mon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ubelteso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Galtero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Marino in the 21st minute of play forced Achicó's goalkeeper Anacleto Laurentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Achicó's Javier Mon got a free kick in the 24th minute. Anacleto Laurentzi was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Rodrigo Marino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rodrigo Marino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Javier Mon came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Achicó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Mon couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Achicó booed when Tucumán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Nalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Ubelteso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Mon, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Achicó's goalkeeper Anacleto Laurentzi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Fausto Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tucumán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Hug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Achicó's Anacleto Laurentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Marino in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Marino to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fabian Hanot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Laurentzi having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Benedicto Jerardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tucumán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Achicó the free kick. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tucumán! In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Achicó. Rosendo Tiso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rigoberto Ubelteso. 1-1. Javier Mon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodrigo Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tucumán's Gerardo Urdin got a free kick in the 94th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
