Emanuel Bernabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Theobald in the 19th minute of play. Christian Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Theobald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Theobald in the 31st minute of play forced Sarmiento de Junin's goalkeeper Emanuel Bernabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento de Junin's zone, Benito Chinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Bernabel came out of the goal and Benito Chinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Emanuel Bernabel managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Vilela FC's Benito Chinto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Emilio Mikelats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Vilela FC's Melchor Ascencio got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 45th minute of the match Christian Nardo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Lonzo skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
