The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Francisco Lartaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atl Estudiantes Lp's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Lartaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Lain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Burrito Ortega's Aquilino Tono slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alejandro Tomi. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. A collision led to Club Atl Estudiantes Lp getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bonifacio Chinto hit a great ball. Alejandro Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Tono in the 12th minute of play. Francisco Lartaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atl Estudiantes Lp's Bonifacio Chinto got a free kick in the 18th minute. Guaberto Karmel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alejandro Tomi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Club Burrito Ortega's Alejandro Tomi threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aquilino Tono, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Godfredo Costante charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Costante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Atl Estudiantes Lp's Godfredo Costante got a free kick in the 30th minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Aquilino Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Burrito Ortega's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Tono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Club Atl Estudiantes Lp's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Tono came free, but Alejandro Tomi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Esteban Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Lain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Lain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Lartaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.
Alejandro Tomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Karmel in the 53rd minute of the match. Guaberto Karmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Isaias Orzaize hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Francisco Lartaun got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Niceto Gaizkine struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Paulino Lain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atl Estudiantes Lp. When Aquilino Tono came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Club Burrito Ortega fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquilino Tono couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute, Godfredo Costante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Club Atl Estudiantes Lp got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Ortzi. After 78 played minutes, Club Burrito Ortega's Arnoldo Udalaitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alejandro Tomi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Burrito Ortega reached it. Paulino Lain made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Francisco Lartaun sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Club Burrito Ortega's Paulino Lain got control of the ball when Francisco Lartaun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aquilino Tono took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejandro Tomi. Alejandro Tomi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atl Estudiantes Lp players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Burrito Ortega.
