Arnulfo Rafe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Rafe in the 11th minute of play forced Sarandí FC's goalkeeper Santiago Tavio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Tavio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Vergaray in the 13th minute of the match. Santiago Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Dominix, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Maximo Tulio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Tavio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Ponc in the 20th minute of the match. Santiago Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the game, Arnulfo Rafe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Santiago Tavio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnulfo Rafe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Tavio having to interfere. Santiago Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Rafe, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Rafe in the 33rd minute of play forced Sarandí FC's goalkeeper Santiago Tavio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nemesio Tuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ambrosio Chayo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Sarandí FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Chayo couldn't finish the play. Santiago Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Rafe in the 40th minute of play. After 47 minutes, Tomas Valery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maciel and the Sarandí FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Tomas Valery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Maciel getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Armando Dominix hit a great ball. Edgard Lartaun was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 51st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Sarandí FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maciel were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Tuste was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Sarandí FC's Santiago Tavio got control of the ball when Arnulfo Rafe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ambrosio Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Eriz having to interfere. Santiago Tavio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinicio Vergaray's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Vinicio Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Vergaray was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Maciel's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sarandí FC's Santiago Tavio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Sarandí FC from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes in the game, Vinicio Vergaray fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Santiago Tavio having to interfere. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maciel's goalkeeper Prudencio Eriz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Maciel's Cipriano Manuelo got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Tuste in the 99th minute of play forced Maciel's goalkeeper Prudencio Eriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Maciel supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maciel would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
