Epifanio Vimaro stood somewhat misplaced when Alvaro Nahia came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 8 minute. Joel Sayvion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Lohitzun having to interfere. In the 13th minute Ezequiel Joachim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Lohitzun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Sayvion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hector Calvino hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes, Cochrane's Natalio Orti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eustaquio Lohitzun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cochrane reached it. Joel Sayvion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustaquio Lohitzun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Joachim's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Ezequiel Joachim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Eustaquio Lohitzun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Guzmán defense, Joel Sayvion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Lohitzun. The Guzmán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Lohitzun should have stopped the shot. Guzmán's Leonides Koldobika got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Guzmán's Donato Alfonso got a free kick in the 45th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Ezequiel Joachim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cochrane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Joachim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Sayvion to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cochrane's zone, Leonides Koldobika stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Vimaro came out of the goal and Leonides Koldobika tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nicanor Gagriel fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cochrane's protests and gave Nicanor Gagriel a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Cochrane defense, Leonides Koldobika kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Vimaro. The Cochrane fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Vimaro should have stopped the shot. Donato Alfonso placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When Guido Gipuzkoa fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cochrane's protests and gave Guido Gipuzkoa a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cochrane fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Donato Alfonso shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Cochrane's Epifanio Vimaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Nahia in the 72nd minute of play. If Leonides Koldobika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Federico Fraco's late challenge caught a Guzmán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Fraco helped the player get up and apologised. Guzmán's Donato Alfonso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cochrane. In the 83rd minute, Ezequiel Joachim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eustaquio Lohitzun was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Ezequiel Joachim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eustaquio Lohitzun came out and tried to block the shot, but Ezequiel Joachim slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 86th minute. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guzmán's goalkeeper Eustaquio Lohitzun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ezequiel Joachim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Eustaquio Lohitzun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 98 minutes, Tobias Argenis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guzmán and the Cochrane players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tobias Argenis kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Ruperto Harkaitz struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Eustaquio Lohitzun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cochrane. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
