The Médanos AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Quintan should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd minute, Vicente Batista made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Quintan. Médanos AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Médanos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Rivas came free, but Antonio Quintan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Médanos AFC's Bruno Sadurni got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Batista in the 34th minute of play forced Médanos AFC's goalkeeper Antonio Quintan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Edelmiro Goi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roque Lop was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After 54 played minutes Lino Henric rounded Médanos AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. In the 63rd minute, Anibal Firmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute Lino Henric shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Quintan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Médanos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Henric came free, but Antonio Quintan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anibal Firmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Lop having to interfere. When Anibal Firmo came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Médanos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Firmo couldn't finish the play. Edelmiro Goi might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roque Lop. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edelmiro Goi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Colombia F.C.'s Melchor Menendo got a free kick in the 81st minute. A collision led to Médanos AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bruno Sadurni hit a great ball. After 87 minutes of play, Médanos AFC's Anibal Firmo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roque Lop was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Anibal Firmo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Médanos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Firmo couldn't finish the play. Anibal Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Médanos AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
