Robustiano Quintana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Ovidio Garin put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Robustiano Quintana. After 15 played minutes LUCHOLOCO FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Muc. Romulo Umea charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Umea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gavilán FC booed when LUCHOLOCO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Umea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermengildo Llorienzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robustiano Quintana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Romulo Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gavilán FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Damaso Dacio hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, LUCHOLOCO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Llorienzo came free, but Robustiano Quintana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Beliran was the one to do the kick off. If Hermengildo Llorienzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Ilixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Beliran in the 63rd minute of the match. Hermengildo Llorienzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robustiano Quintana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermengildo Llorienzo in the 67th minute. Severiano Ilixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Beliran, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Hermengildo Llorienzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Quintana having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Gavilán FC got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Dacio. In the 76th minute Alberto Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Ilixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alberto Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ovidio Garin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gavilán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Garin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Quintana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severiano Ilixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Beliran in the 95th minute of the match. When Eduardo Muc was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 97 minutes had been played. The Gavilán FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
