The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Andrade FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. But to his dismay, Andres Isadore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arnaldo Txatxu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Francisco Ofelio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ciriaco Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pirguita FC defense, Arnaldo Txatxu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Ofelio. The Pirguita FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Ofelio should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Frichoso in the 19th minute of play forced Andrade FC's goalkeeper Paulino Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobias Frichoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Paulino Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Pirguita FC's Tobias Frichoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulino Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Paulino Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Frichoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 played minutes Pirguita FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Tebaldo. Francisco Ofelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Elizardo in the 37th minute of play. Andres Isadore struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Paulino Merexildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirguita FC. In the 47th minute, Andres Isadore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Modesto Elizardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Frichoso in the 56th minute of play forced Andrade FC's goalkeeper Paulino Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Frichoso in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Agustin Calixto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Andrade FC's Amador Lizar got a free kick in the 60th minute. Pirguita FC's Andres Isadore got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrade FC's Paulino Merexildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Andrade FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 65 minutes, Arnaldo Txatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andrade FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Txatxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tobias Frichoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Andrade FC's Agustin Calixto got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the Pirguita FC defense, Modesto Elizardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Ofelio. The Pirguita FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Ofelio should have stopped the shot. Pirguita FC's Francisco Ofelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Elizardo in the 84th minute of play. Modesto Elizardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Ofelio having to make a save. Paulino Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Frichoso in the 89th minute of the match. Paulino Merexildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Frichoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Ofelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Elizardo in the 96th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
