Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ernesto Taurino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Maura struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Leo Sotero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azcuénaga FC. If Felipe Maura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pedernal's Leo Sotero got control of the ball when Cristian Gartzea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ernesto Taurino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Sotero having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Pedernal's Aldo Astrada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Omar Peruxu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernesto Taurino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leo Sotero. That made the score 1-2 in the 33 minute of play. Felipe Maura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Leo Sotero made a huge save. Pedernal's Leo Sotero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Pedernal from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Azcuénaga FC defense, Aquilino Iigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Peruxu. The Azcuénaga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Peruxu should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Ernesto Taurino made the kick off in the second half. Omar Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Astrada in the 74th minute of play. If Aldo Astrada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Feo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Omar Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Azcuénaga FC's Ernesto Taurino made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leo Sotero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Omar Peruxu made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Leandro Feo sent off a good shot on target. Pedernal's Aldo Astrada got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Azcuénaga FC's Omar Peruxu got control of the ball when Leandro Feo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute, Pedernal's Aldo Astrada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Omar Peruxu. Omar Peruxu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Astrada in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Peruxu saved Azcuénaga FC from getting behind. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pedernal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
