When Alberto Barbosa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 79 minutes had been played. Alberto Barbosa hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Ermegildo Vargas was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. Apolo Pietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Javiero having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Islas's Leonardo Oto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santos Javiero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Apolo Pietro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Islas's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Pietro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Javiero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Apolo Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Apolo Pietro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Islas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chaparro.
