Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Confesor got free with Victorio Torres in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hernan Confesor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Victorio Torres made a huge save. Matias Nardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cosme Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matias Nardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosme Rey having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Confesor in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorio Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hernan Confesor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Victorio Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorio Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Uriel Loreto's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rgrande's zone, Alonzo Havier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Torres came out of the goal and Alonzo Havier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alonzo Havier struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Victorio Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraguatay. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Alonzo Havier made the kick off in the second half. Cosme Rey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matias Nardo went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Caraguatay's Alonzo Havier in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Victorio Torres guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 59 played minutes Rgrande got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Lucila. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Havier in the 71st minute of play forced Rgrande's goalkeeper Victorio Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Arlo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Hernan Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Artemio Diegotxe's late challenge caught a Caraguatay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Diegotxe helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Caraguatay's Bonifacio Asier tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hernan Confesor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Torres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. If Hernan Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Jeronimo Orixe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilberto Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victorio Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rgrande walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
