In the 11th minute, Honorio Ekialde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Gonchan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Celso Enaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Lorencio in the 65th minute of play forced Membrillar FC's goalkeeper Alonzo Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Federico Lorencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Membrillar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Gartzea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Membrillar FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Federico Lorencio scored to the left of an out of position Alonzo Gonchan, making the score, 0-3. The Ceibal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
