Esteve Papo helped the player get up and apologised. Paolo Martxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Iban in the 9th minute of play. Eustaquio Chucho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Ihintza, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Rosario's Gogo Toro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paolo Martxel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Gaston Blasi came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Rocha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Blasi couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, Rosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Maurin to maneuver through the defense. Rosario's Eustaquio Chucho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Ihintza in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Rosario's Eustaquio Chucho got control of the ball when Gaston Blasi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rocha's goalkeeper Paolo Martxel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Iban was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Israel Dalmai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rocha and the Rosario players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gogo Toro got free with Paolo Martxel in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 57 minutes, Severo Iban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Iban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Rosario's Severo Iban sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paolo Martxel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Iban in the 65th minute of play forced Rocha's goalkeeper Paolo Martxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Martxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Iban, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Adolfo Furman fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rocha's protests and gave Adolfo Furman a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rocha getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Adolfo Furman hit a great ball. Adolfo Furman got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gogo Toro struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Paolo Martxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosario. After some careless play in the Rosario defense, Gaston Blasi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Chucho. The Rosario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Chucho should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rosario eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
