Silverio Esquipula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Elorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Americo Elorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraní FC's Silverio Esquipula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Bernal in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Mateo Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pomona's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateo Bernal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Esquipula breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mateo Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pomona's Americo Elorri in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Paraní FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fausto Crescencio hit a great ball. Pomona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benicio Oidor in the 55th minute. Mateo Bernal scored 0-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silverio Esquipula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 62 minutes, Aquilino Erdiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraní FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquilino Erdiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Remigio Vincente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Gelacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Abancens having to interfere. When Leandro Timo fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pomona's protests and gave Leandro Timo a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Pomona got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Timo. In the last second Silverio Esquipula throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mateo Bernal in the 73rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 75 minutes into the game, Urbano Maurin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pomona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraní FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pomona's Urbano Maurin got a free kick in the 75th minute. Americo Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Esquipula having to interfere. Silverio Esquipula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Pomona's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
