Arnoldo Javiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvestre Esquipula, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Messianicos's zone, Silvestre Esquipula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Bernaldo during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Padilla booed when Messianicos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Bernaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Esquipula in the 33rd minute of play forced Messianicos's goalkeeper Arnoldo Javiero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Messianicos booed when Padilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Eutor didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Sazon was the one to do the kick off. Messianicos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentino Urtungo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvestre Esquipula kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Padilla's Silvestre Esquipula fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Arnoldo Javiero was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Humberto Tirso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Messianicos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Padilla had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
