One of Piquete:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barreal FC:s goal. Piquete:s Iker Olayo showed great skill when he stopped Augusto Muno:s penalty. In the 6th minute, Augusto Muno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barreal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Santo in the 9th minute of play forced Piquete's goalkeeper Iker Olayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barreal FC's zone, Gaudencio Malvin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Vedillo came out of the goal and Gaudencio Malvin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Barreal FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Silvio Gonsalvo hit a great ball. Gaudencio Malvin took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Vedillo. Sergio Vedillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Iker Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Urbes came free, but Sergio Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergio Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Malvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Gaudencio Malvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Vedillo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Urbes in the 36th minute of play forced Barreal FC's goalkeeper Sergio Vedillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergio Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Malvin in the 46th minute of the match. Abelardo Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andres Urbes to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Gaudencio Malvin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piquete's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaudencio Malvin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreal FC's goalkeeper Sergio Vedillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andres Urbes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Sergio Vedillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piquete's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barreal FC the free kick. After 93 played minutes Piquete got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Uxio. The Barreal FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piquete were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
