Ombucto's Robustiano Elivareo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Sesuldo in the 14th minute of play. Ricardo Perfecto struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Robustiano Elivareo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volumen al Mango. Ricardo Perfecto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robustiano Elivareo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Ombucto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Gabon to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Roque Sesuldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Ricardo Perfecto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Robustiano Elivareo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgard Maurino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Gabon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Santos Felipillo got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Ombucto. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Samuel Gabon took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Edgard Maurino to make any attempt to save it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Edgardo Ellande fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ombucto's protests and gave Edgardo Ellande a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Edgardo Ellande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Gabon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Maurino having to interfere. Robustiano Elivareo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roque Sesuldo in the 94th minute. Santos Felipillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard Maurino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
