In the 18thth minute of the game Igor Flor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carranza FC's Honorato Gorri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Ermegildo Gonzo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Honorato Gorri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Albano Cisco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carolo Roldanillo went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Reconquista AFC booed when Carranza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Mendiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Carranza FC's zone, Flavio Feliz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorato Gorri came out of the goal and Flavio Feliz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Carranza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Feliz came free, but Honorato Gorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melchor Chus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Honorato Gorri made a huge save. A collision led to Reconquista AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Anacleto Nalo hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Feliz to make the kick off.
