Hilario Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Guido Tolino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Sancho in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mauricio Neron, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mauricio Neron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Sancho in the 20th minute. The supporters of Sunchu FC booed when Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Guipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Nereo Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Mauricio Neron. Belgrano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Hilario Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albano Libertad in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes, Belgrano's Saul Mantzio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hilario Bernaldo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Belgrano reached it. Nereo Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mauricio Neron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Tolino in the 40th minute of play forced Belgrano's goalkeeper Mauricio Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes, Javier Guipuzkoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgrano and the Sunchu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano's zone, Nereo Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Neron came out of the goal and Nereo Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Salvador Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauricio Neron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 61 played minutes Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Javier Guipuzkoa. In the game's 61st minute Sunchu FC's Hugo Sauveur took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Mauricio Neron and thus the score was 4-0. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sunchu FC's goalkeeper Hilario Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sunchu FC's Nereo Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74thth minute of the game Albano Libertad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sunchu FC's Hilario Bernaldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Haroldo Irrintzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albano Libertad kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Belgrano getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Saverio Fidele hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano's zone, Guido Tolino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Neron came out of the goal and Guido Tolino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Sauveur charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Sauveur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Salvador Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belgrano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
