The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Chañar FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Gogo Tximitx hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Sebastian Raphael fired a really elegant long shot, but Haroldo Danel threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Hugo Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Haroldo Danel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Napaleofú's Eustacio Silviano got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 10 played minutes Napaleofú got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Beremundo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Acosta got free with Haroldo Danel in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Napaleofú's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Ramirez came free, but Arsenio Galsino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arsenio Galsino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Natal, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Arsenio Galsino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimiro Belarmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casimiro Belarmo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arsenio Galsino having to make a save. Salvador Natal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Arsenio Galsino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Belarmo in the 44th minute of play forced Napaleofú's goalkeeper Arsenio Galsino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casimiro Belarmo was the one to do the kick off. Salvador Natal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd minute Casimiro Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Galsino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Genaro Beremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Danel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Beremundo in the 68th minute of the match. Haroldo Danel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Acosta in the 69th minute of play. When Casimiro Belarmo came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Chañar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Belarmo couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Napaleofú's Arsenio Galsino got control of the ball when Salvador Natal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casimiro Belarmo struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Arsenio Galsino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chañar FC. 77 minutes into the match, Salvador Natal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arsenio Galsino. Napaleofú's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvador Natal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 81st minute, one of Napaleofú:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Napaleofú. The goalkeeper, Arsenio Galsino, was totally fooled by Chañar FC's Eduardo Mateo, who 83 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 85 minutes into the game, Eugenio Ramirez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chañar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Napaleofú the free kick. In the 85th minute, Eugenio Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Napaleofú getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Roque Igon hit a great ball. After 99 minutes, Hugo Acosta made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chañar FC's Haroldo Danel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chañar FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
