Anibal Grabiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Bonifacio Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmar Malvin's late challenge caught a Mesada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmar Malvin helped the player get up and apologised. Delmar Malvin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Primitivo Lizar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elvio Gaufred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Vinicio Urtats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrella Roja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinicio Urtats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Rameriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
