Clodoveo Rius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Transito, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Adrian Jurgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Felipo having to interfere. When Teodoro Lluterio fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pereyra FC's protests and gave Teodoro Lluterio a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Rene Transito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chilecito's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Transito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Rius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Herrera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Clodoveo Rius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ermegildo Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Rius having to interfere. If Ermegildo Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Transito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Clodoveo Rius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Chilecito's Ernesto Felipo got control of the ball when Celedonio Maties tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Pereyra FC booed when Chilecito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Fraco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Jurgi to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Alvaro Fraco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chilecito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pereyra FC the free kick. Alvaro Fraco kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Pereyra FC's Adrian Jurgi fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Ernesto Felipo was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Celedonio Maties took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Felipo. Ernesto Felipo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 66thth minute of the game Adrian Jurgi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chilecito's Ernesto Felipo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celedonio Maties sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavino Jerardo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Adrian Jurgi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Maties in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Felipo saved Chilecito from getting behind. Chilecito's Ernesto Felipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Jurgi in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Herrera in the 88th minute of play forced Pereyra FC's goalkeeper Clodoveo Rius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ermegildo Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chilecito had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
