The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edelmiro Paul blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Braulio Seguinus having to make a save. If Aldo Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tomas Beliran came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Tapso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Beliran couldn't finish the play. Celso Rudolfo took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristobal Pereyra. Cristobal Pereyra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Celso Rudolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Rudolfo in the 24th minute of play forced Tapso's goalkeeper Cristobal Pereyra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Aldo Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Seguinus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Bernabe Cresencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Cresencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aldo Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Cristo Santxol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cajon AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapso the free kick. A collision led to Cajon AFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Cristo Santxol hit a great ball. Edelmiro Paul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Braulio Seguinus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Aldo Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Bernal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Bernal to make the kick off. Tapso's Cristobal Pereyra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Tapso from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tapso's goalkeeper Cristobal Pereyra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 60 minutes of play Cajon AFC's Cristo Santxol was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Cristo Santxol hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Edelmiro Paul came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Tapso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Paul couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Aldo Bernal made a precise shot to the right of Braulio Seguinus. Cajon AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Justino Florian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aldo Bernal came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Tapso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Bernal couldn't finish the play. Tapso's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
