In the 7th minute, Emilio Loramendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Oroitz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Lucio Ieltxu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tadeo Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lucio Ieltxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Ieltxu was a little too slow when Tadeo Urdaspal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Vladimiro Oroitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lucio Ieltxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Constantino Javiero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Agustin Jaume was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Unión Santo Tomé's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maseta AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Unión Santo Tomé's Agustin Jaume got a free kick in the 24th minute. Constantino Javiero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Constantino Javiero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 33rd minute of the match Emilio Loramendi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Emilio Loramendi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 34th match minute, Maseta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Lop to maneuver through the defense. When Jonas Cheche came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Maseta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Cheche couldn't finish the play. Tadeo Urdaspal took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucio Ieltxu. Lucio Ieltxu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Tadeo Urdaspal made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Unión Santo Tomé's Rodrigo Ebardo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Club Unión Santo Tomé's Tadeo Urdaspal got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vladimiro Oroitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucio Ieltxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Urdaspal in the 62nd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Maseta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Oroitz came free, but Lucio Ieltxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maseta AFC's Jonas Cheche got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Cheche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Balasi having to interfere. Tadeo Urdaspal took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucio Ieltxu. Lucio Ieltxu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maseta AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Unión Santo Tomé.
