Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gaston Goiz started the match with the kick off. Nelson AFC's Leopoldo Ederono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Bartuelo in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th minute, Esteban Lehoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Festeiros da Mineirao's Sixto Ferdinand got a free kick in the 14th minute. Clodoveo Bartuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Leopoldo Ederono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nelson AFC's Gaston Goiz in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ciriaco Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Goiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gaston Goiz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciriaco Rivas. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. Gaston Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Clodoveo Bartuelo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Nelson AFC booed when Festeiros da Mineirao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Festeiros da Mineirao's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Nevada came free, but Ciriaco Rivas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nelson AFC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Ederono, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sixto Ferdinand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Leopoldo Ederono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Nevada charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Nevada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Nelson AFC's Tomás Nevada got a free kick in the 87th minute. Sixto Ferdinand took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Ederono. Leopoldo Ederono dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 97th minute, Sixto Ferdinand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Festeiros da Mineirao left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nelson AFC.
