Nelson AFC's Delmar Otsando got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Godofredo Delfino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Goiz's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Fernan Gartzi's late challenge caught a Nelson AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernan Gartzi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Uturungo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Gartzi to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Nelson AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Corderall came free, but Leopoldo Ederono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Ederono didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaudencio Corderall went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 18 played minutes, Uturungo AFC's Ciro Mannie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leopoldo Ederono came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uturungo AFC reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Mannie during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Uturungo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Mannie to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute of the match Tomás Nevada sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godofredo Delfino skillfully saved the ball. After 24 played minutes, Uturungo AFC's Ciro Mannie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leopoldo Ederono came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uturungo AFC reached it. With a little luck, Uturungo AFC's Godofredo Delfino got control of the ball when Delmar Otsando tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gaudencio Corderall sped through Nelson AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leopoldo Ederono. Delmar Otsando hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaston Goiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Delmar Otsando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmar Otsando in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godofredo Delfino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Corderall in the 58th minute of play forced Nelson AFC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Ederono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Uturungo AFC booed when Nelson AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Lalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Ederono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Corderall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delmar Otsando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gaston Goiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Uturungo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Gartzi. 82 minutes into the match, Nelson AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Corderall came free, but Leopoldo Ederono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godofredo Delfino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Goiz in the 89th minute of play. Gaston Goiz scored 1-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godofredo Delfino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Nelson AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uturungo AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Uturungo AFC.
