Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emiliano Loco took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Eduardo Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Escalante's Florentino Onbera got a free kick in the 11th minute. Eloy Fortun made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Americo Leocadio sent off a good shot on target. Eloy Fortun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Loco in the 21st minute of play. Americo Leocadio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Fortun having to interfere. In the 26th minute Arnoldo Galeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Fortun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Eduardo Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes, Nicasio Celipe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escalante and the Chacarita Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Escalante getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Nicasio Celipe hit a great ball. Eloy Fortun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Loco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute of the match, Americo Leocadio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eloy Fortun was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Octavio Guilabertus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Eduardo Baldovino made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Baldovino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Segundo Cambranes came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Baldovino slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 53rd minute. Emiliano Loco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Guilabertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Segundo Cambranes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Eduardo Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escalante's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Baldovino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Segundo Cambranes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Leocadio in the 72nd minute of play forced Escalante's goalkeeper Eloy Fortun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Americo Leocadio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Americo Leocadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Emiliano Loco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacarita Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Loco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 played minutes Escalante got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Brais. Octavio Guilabertus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Segundo Cambranes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th minute Emiliano Loco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Fortun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Americo Leocadio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Escalante's Eloy Fortun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Leocadio in the 94th minute of play. Artemio Chinto's late challenge caught a Escalante's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Chinto helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chacarita Juniors's Artemio Chinto got a free kick in the 96th minute. Octavio Guilabertus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Cambranes having to interfere. Escalante's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
