Cleto Iratzeder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Ubaldo Gumaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manucho's Julio Naelio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Manucho from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute Ubaldo Gumaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Goyeneche FC's Humberto Eguntsenti got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Martino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Julio Naelio made a huge save. If Humberto Eguntsenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Goyeneche FC's Humberto Eguntsenti slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Naelio. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. If Ubaldo Gumaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manucho's goalkeeper Julio Naelio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Martino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Naelio having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 57 minutes, Ubaldo Gumaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manucho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Gumaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Goyeneche FC's Cleto Iratzeder got control of the ball when German Rufo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 61 minutes, German Rufo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manucho and the Goyeneche FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Manucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Rufo to maneuver through the defense. If Felix Martino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Manucho players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Goyeneche FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
