Denis Rodas kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Mazarredo's goalkeeper Aristides Nel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaac Garcia. The supporters of Rufino AFC booed when Mazarredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Orlandus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mazarredo's zone, Luis Quiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Nel came out of the goal and Luis Quiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Mazarredo getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Erasmo Guter hit a great ball. Denis Rodas hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Mazarredo's Aristides Nel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Quiroga in the 28th minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Eduardo Diagur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rufino AFC's Alejandro Pacho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodosio Galo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alejandro Pacho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Diagur in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Eduardo Diagur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 48th minute, Teodosio Galo made a precise shot to the right of Alejandro Pacho. Rufino AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Rufino AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mazarredo were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Luis Quiroga made the kick off in the second half. Luis Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Diagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Alejandro Pacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mazarredo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
