Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristo Maria started the match with the kick off. Cecilio Ilazki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Junín's Isidoro Cordarrol got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Ilazki in the 14th minute of play forced Junín's goalkeeper Gavino Madaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Artemio Larra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Kemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Cordarryl having to interfere. Joel Saturnin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Gavino Madaleno made a huge save. After 31 played minutes Iriarte got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Lidon. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Iriarte's goalkeeper Geronimo Cordarryl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute Cecilio Ilazki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Madaleno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match, Cecilio Ilazki tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gavino Madaleno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 37th minute, Gervasio Isias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Junín's Gavino Madaleno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Junín from getting a goal against them. Joel Saturnin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gavino Madaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junín's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Cecilio Ilazki scored to the left of an out of position Gavino Madaleno, making the score, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Cecilio Ilazki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iriarte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Junín's zone, Cecilio Ilazki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavino Madaleno came out of the goal and Cecilio Ilazki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Ilazki in the 58th minute of play forced Junín's goalkeeper Gavino Madaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cecilio Ilazki scored 3-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Madaleno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gavino Madaleno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Ilazki in the 70th minute of the match. Iriarte's Geronimo Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Maria in the 75th minute of play. Geronimo Cordarryl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Isias in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristo Maria in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Cordarryl saved Iriarte from getting behind. Baltasar Fix charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltasar Fix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aureliano Locaio walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Maria in the 84th minute of play forced Iriarte's goalkeeper Geronimo Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecilio Ilazki in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Madaleno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristo Maria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Geronimo Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Junín's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Junín may have spent more time on the ball, but Iriarte were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
