Ripamonti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Tximitx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorio Duarte hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Elvio Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Nardo in the 13th minute of play forced Athletic Club Fire Star's goalkeeper Pascual Endira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Athletic Club Fire Star got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Beltza. Elvio Tximitx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pascual Endira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elvio Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Athletic Club Fire Star's Pascual Endira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Nardo in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Athletic Club Fire Star getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Victorio Duarte hit a great ball. Pascual Endira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Nardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Higinio Nardo took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pascual Endira. Pascual Endira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Elvio Tximitx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pascual Endira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascual Endira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Nardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes, Victorio Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Athletic Club Fire Star and the Ripamonti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ripamonti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ildefonso Paublo in the 42nd minute. After taking down the ball on Ripamonti's corner Ildefonso Paublo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pascual Endira quite easily take care of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, German Jurgi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alvaro Paskal, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell German Jurgi to make the kick off. The supporters of Ripamonti booed when Athletic Club Fire Star was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Orlondon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Endira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Nardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Higinio Nardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes in the game, Higinio Nardo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pascual Endira having to interfere. Alvaro Paskal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute of the match Santos Gilabert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvaro Paskal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. German Jurgi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Alvaro Paskal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascual Endira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Nardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Beltza was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ripamonti's Higinio Nardo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pascual Endira. That made the score 1-2 after 97 minutes of play.
