Conrado Fliz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Ikatz in the 9th minute. After 12 minutes, Adan Perrando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cajón FC and the BocaJuniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victoriano Roldanillo succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 21 minutes into the game, Aurelio Maxin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BocaJuniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cajón FC the free kick. In the 21st match minute, BocaJuniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Maxin to maneuver through the defense. Marco Aimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Gimenez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the BocaJuniors defense, Arnaldo Shepherd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Aimar. The BocaJuniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Aimar should have stopped the shot. In the 30th match minute, Cajón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Perrando to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Shepherd scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Aimar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 38 minutes, Arnaldo Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cajón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Shepherd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Quilino during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emanuel Quilino hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Cajón FC were awarded a corner. Prospero Gimenez went to the cornerflag to take it. Cajón FC's Prospero Gimenez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Aimar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

52 minutes into the game, Cajón FC's Victoriano Roldanillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Aimar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Marco Aimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Shepherd in the 56th minute of play. Victoriano Roldanillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Marco Aimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnaldo Shepherd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BocaJuniors's Marco Aimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Shepherd in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Shepherd in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Aimar saved BocaJuniors from getting behind. Conrado Fliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Ikatz in the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Venceslao during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to BocaJuniors getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Benjamin Venceslao hit a great ball. Victoriano Roldanillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Arnaldo Shepherd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cajón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Shepherd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Cajón FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BocaJuniors throughout the match.
