Prudencio Etxekopar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Bartoleme, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Felipe Hever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Salto AFC's David Furtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Salto AFC from getting a goal against them. Honorato Dantae's late challenge caught a Salto AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Dantae helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes granacampeon got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Dantae. Prudencio Etxekopar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Furman in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Felipe Hever had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prudencio Etxekopar. granacampeon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Hever was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Prudencio Etxekopar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Furman in the 24th minute of play. David Furtado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Darien in the 26th minute. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Alvaro Millano took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for David Furtado to make any attempt to save it. David Furtado had great luck who in the 32ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Alvaro Millano from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 35 minutes into the match, Salto AFC's Felipe Hever sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prudencio Etxekopar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Aristides Felipillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Salto AFC's Federico Chale got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Salto AFC! Raul Niguel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. David Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Millano in the 44th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Hever to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, granacampeon's Honorato Dantae got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Alvaro Millano came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the granacampeon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Millano couldn't finish the play. Angelo Darien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Octavio Furman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salto AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavio Furman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Etxekopar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Octavio Furman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind granacampeon's goalkeeper Prudencio Etxekopar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Angelo Darien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
