The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gualeguay FC's Leon Mark proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Gualeguay FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Urbes got free with Leon Mark in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Mark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Guido Urbes scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Mark, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Marco Vergaray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bonifacio Senen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fulgencio Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Gualeguay FC defense, Guido Urbes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Mark. The Gualeguay FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Mark should have stopped the shot. Cirilo Garcia struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Leon Mark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leipzig. Guido Urbes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Mark having to interfere. Guido Urbes took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leon Mark. Leon Mark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Leon Mark made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Guido Urbes sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bonifacio Senen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leipzig's Cirilo Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualeguay FC's Epifanio Iyan got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fulgencio Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Senen in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Gualeguay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Min to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Iyan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Fulgencio Peruxu made a huge save. 70 minutes into the game, Leipzig's Guido Urbes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Mark made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 72nd match minute, Leipzig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Uxio to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fulgencio Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Gualeguay FC's Epifanio Iyan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Peruxu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Epifanio Iyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
