Zapala FC's Prudencio Paulin got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 7 minutes into the game, Cesar Karmel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donadeu AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zapala FC the free kick. The supporters of Zapala FC booed when Donadeu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Karmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Vinicio Macias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Donadeu AFC's Cesar Karmel got a free kick in the 9th minute. Vinicio Maciass short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Wilfredo Pacorro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Gregorio Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 14 minutes, Rodrigo Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Donadeu AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Ledesma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinicio Macias got free with Wilfredo Pacorro in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 22 minutes, Silvestre Balesio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donadeu AFC and the Zapala FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Donadeu AFC's Silvestre Balesio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Donadeu AFC's zone, Vinicio Macias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Pacorro came out of the goal and Vinicio Macias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gregorio Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfredo Cutberto's late challenge caught a Donadeu AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Cutberto helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prudencio Paulin during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Prudencio Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulgencio Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Ledesma, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Rodrigo Ledesma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Fulgencio Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Cutberto hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Zapala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Ledesma came free, but Fulgencio Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donadeu AFC's Gregorio Matthew got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fulgencio Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Matthew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robustiano Timo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Pacorro having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Robustiano Timo made the kick off in the second half. Wilfredo Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Timo in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Donadeu AFC's Lorenzo Pelagius got a free kick in the 54th minute. Robustiano Timo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Vinicio Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Pacorro having to interfere. If Robustiano Timo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Robustiano Timo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Pacorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Rodrigo Ledesma fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fulgencio Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Ledesma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes in the game, Gregorio Matthew dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Rodrigo Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rodrigo Ledesma came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Donadeu AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Ledesma couldn't finish the play. Zapala FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Rodrigo Ledesma scored to the left of an out of position Fulgencio Iigo, making the score, 0-1. Rodrigo Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Donadeu AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Donadeu AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
