Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rogelio Txurio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rogelio Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Sansone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Rocendo in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute Rogelio Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Sansone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Edelmiro Rocendo came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Los Sinombre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Rocendo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Lopes got free with Arturo Eladio in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rawson were furious when Teofilo Sedeni was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jacinto Jaen shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Oscar Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rawson's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Eladio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Los Sinombre's Arturo Eladio got control of the ball when Oscar Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lino Lop came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Rawson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Lop couldn't finish the play. Oscar Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Eladio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Los Sinombre's Arturo Eladio got control of the ball when Oscar Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Arturo Eladio managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Rawson's Oscar Lopes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 46 played minutes Rawson got a freekick which was hit by Denis Ferdinand. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Pascual Sansone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Txurio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Arturo Eladio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascual Sansone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Txurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Isaac Chinto hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Edelmiro Rocendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Andres Virila fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rawson's protests and gave Andres Virila a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, one of Rawson:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rawson. When the match had been going on for 68 minutes, Los Sinombre's Jacinto Jaen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Pascual Sansone. 73 minutes into the match, Los Sinombre's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Lopes came free, but Arturo Eladio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Oscar Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hector Lekubegi took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arturo Eladio. Arturo Eladio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rawson's Lino Lop got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lino Lop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Arturo Eladio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arturo Eladio came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Rawson's Oscar Lopes. But to his dismay, Oscar Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Arturo Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rawson booed when Los Sinombre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Vachon didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rawson had played much better football throughout.
