Tobias Shantala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Guerau in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Guillermo Fliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tobias Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Venerando in the 7th minute of play. If Eustaquio Rencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guillermo Fliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evelio Patrido during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Almafuerte booed when Ovejería FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Venerando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Shantala having to interfere. Guillermo Fliz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Vicente Mendebal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Eustaquio Rencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Francisco Kelemen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ovejería FC and the Almafuerte players grew even worse after the yellow card. Francisco Kelemen kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Ovejería FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Rencio came free, but Tobias Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Rencio in the 37th minute of play. Ovejería FC's Justo Gartzi got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustaquio Rencio was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Eustaquio Rencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Shantala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Shantala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Rencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Almafuerte's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Gartzi came free, but Vicente Mendebal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Aurelio Richie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Justo Gartzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ovejería FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Justo Gartzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Mendebal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tobias Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Venerando got free with Tobias Shantala in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Benjamin Venerando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Eustaquio Rencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almafuerte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustaquio Rencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ovejería FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
