After some careless play in the Defensores Gauchos defense, Primitivo Gaitano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benigno Miliano. The Defensores Gauchos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Miliano should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Casbas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Admon came free, but Emanuel Handi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Defensores Gauchos booed when Casbas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Gaitano in the 33rd minute of play forced Defensores Gauchos's goalkeeper Benigno Miliano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Erramun might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benigno Miliano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clodoveo Erramun ran back to his position shaking his head. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teodoro Avellaneda to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Casbas AFC's goalkeeper Emanuel Handi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Gilberto Admon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Primitivo Gaitano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Casbas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Gaitano couldn't finish the play. After having played for 59 minutes, Clodoveo Erramun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casbas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Erramun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, one of Defensores Gauchos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cleto Panpili hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 71 minutes, Israel Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casbas AFC and the Defensores Gauchos players grew even worse after the yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, one of Casbas AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Primitivo Gaitano was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tobias Nalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Gaitano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benigno Miliano was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Primitivo Gaitano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Benigno Miliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Defensores Gauchos's Benigno Miliano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Defensores Gauchos from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Clodoveo Erramun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casbas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clodoveo Erramun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Miliano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th match minute, Defensores Gauchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Donio to maneuver through the defense. Benigno Miliano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Gaitano in the 95th minute of the match. If Tobias Nalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
