The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patricio Tximitx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Araoz in the 15th minute of the match. Alejo Venceslas kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Norberto Jaunti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Cesario having to interfere. Raul Lucila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Patricio Tximitx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Calabacilla's goalkeeper Patricio Tximitx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raul Lucila. Astor Ranolfo scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patricio Tximitx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raul Lucila charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Lucila the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Concepción FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Lucila. The Concepción FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Calabacilla were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Norberto Jaunti made the kick off in the second half. Raul Lucila might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Tximitx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Lucila ran back to his position shaking his head. Saverio Araoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Tximitx having to interfere. Raimundo Igon kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Raul Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Saverio Araoz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Concepción FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Saverio Araoz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Concepción FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Araoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Tximitx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgardo Montay kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Jaunti in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ildefonso Cesario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Araoz in the 81st minute of play forced Calabacilla's goalkeeper Patricio Tximitx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gogo Gauargi kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Fabricio Orlo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Patricio Tximitx. Calabacilla's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Raul Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Raul Lucila sped through Calabacilla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Patricio Tximitx. After a rather tough play, Concepción FC's Astor Ranolfo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Raul Lucila came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Concepción FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Lucila couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Concepción FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calabacilla had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
